Double Tow Operations Approved

There has been a lot of discussion about one tow plane towing two gliders (double tow).  After a lot of work by many folks double tows are now approved for ES operations.

Why do double tows?

Double towing allows two gliders to be towed to a distant mountain ridge without a lengthy turnaround time.  Several club members have been performing double tows for some time now.

How do I get signed off?

Sign off requires familiarization with the by-law requirements (3.2.10 Multiple Tow Procedure and Qualifications) and procedures http://www.evergreensoaring.com/aerotowing/Multiple_tow_procedures.pdf and then passing a check ride.  Ron Bellamy and Paul Adriance are now able to provide check rides.  Those pilots who have performed double tows at KAWO have been grandfathered (see updated bylaws).
