Evergreen Soaring
Board Meeting
June 26, 1997
The meeting was called to order by President Chris Chantrill at his home at 7:30PM. Present were President Chantrill, Mike Delaney, Jerry Painter, John Daly and Craig Kramer.
Treasurer Mike Delaney passed out the latest profit and loss statement and a list of members whose accounts are seriously in arrears. He had also received applications for two new members: Monte Westlund and John Glover. After reviewing both applications the Board voted unanimously to accept them into the fold.
The just-ended club encampment was discussed next. Good flying, good fund, no damage, a good time had by all.
Keith Turner reported that a new front seat brake lever (to replace a cracked lever) and new front stick grip had been installed in the Lark. The oxygen bottles have been removed ion the interest of lighter empty weight. The regulators and associated plumbing need attention and possible replacement. The Russia needs a tail dolly to ease ground handling, canopy seals, an audio vario, radio and new panel to accommodate such. Keith wants to standardize club equipment as much as possible so all ships will have the same types of radios, varios, batteries and chargers, simplifying operation and maintenance. All agreed that was a worthwhile goal, but must be tempered by consideration of our financial condition. The L-13 rear altimeter is incorrectly installed. Mike Delaney reminded everyone that adding, removing or modifying equipment requires A&P signoffs in the logbooks and updated weight and balance and equipment lists.
Keith also noted he is working on a CFIG ground school for the fall and a course syllabus that will be mailed to interested members.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Jerry Painter, Secretary
